這是一個純公益的活兒，除了設計視覺上更精益求精，在成本上，我們也做了一再壓縮。也只有這樣，才能讓更多的當地村名能夠花最少的錢來改造自己的家的房子，進而讓村里閑置的民居盤活村子重新注入活力。 改造前的老房子，是由主體建筑和附屬廚房及庫房組成，搭建結構則是當地保存完好的土燒磚和木梁柱結構。一層有東西廂房，二層則主要用于囤房糧食和雜物。 
▲改造前的平面布局圖（整體） 2樓堆放雜物的地方，原先的設計都是見光的屋瓦，好處是夏天散熱，但是冬天來了可就不那么好過了，外面下大雪，里面飄小雪，起個大風，里面灰塵飛飛。
